Highlights
Enclosed Courtyard, Freestanding Bath, Sensitively Restored
The Sea Cabin is a special place designed for two and is part of a collection of boutique holiday cottages known as Antonia's Pearls.
A pair of exquisitely renovated Grade II-listed buildings form The Sea Cabin, which overlooks the historic Charlestown harbour and is hidden away in a private oasis by the quay. It has a contemporary home-from-home feel and boasts its own glorious courtyard, ideal for al fresco dining.
Inside, you'll find a wonderful king-sized bed with crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, as well as super soft pillows to rest your head on. The open-plan sitting room/kitchen is designed with comfort in mind, offering a wonderfully squishy sofa, a smart television and fast wi-fi throughout. Elsewhere, the cast-iron freestanding bath is designed for soaking and there's even a loo with a view!
In the enclosed courtyard, you can soak up the sun during the summer months or tuck into a home-cooked al fresco dinner. Alternatively – if it's threatening to rain – you can crank a handle and cover the entire courtyard with a state-of-the-art sail, meaning you can sit outside whatever the weather. Better still, on a stormy night the sound of the rain pattering on the roof and the waves crashing against the shore may even lull you to sleep...
The beaches, either side of the quay, are an easy stroll from The Sea Cabin, along with the village's restaurants, pub, wine bar and antiques shop. It's also a 10-minute walk to the supermarket – to stock up on essentials – or a short drive to the iconic Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
