Local Fare, Rural Setting, Boutique Rooms
Mark Hix’s The Fox Inn is nestled in the countryside of his native Dorset within a 17th - century Grade II-listed pub. Their a la carte menu offers seasonal British fare the likes of which include bangers with colcannon, fish fingers with mushy peas and apple and bramble pie. Meanwhile, the drinks menu provides something for everyone, from cocktails and wine (some of which is produced in Devon) to local ales and ciders. If you plan to partake in said drinks menu – perhaps cosied up next to the open fire – the Fox Inn also offers two guest rooms. Bill’s Garden Annexe was designed by Mark Hix himself and features a king-size bed and luxurious roll-top bath, while the Castlewood Annexe is inspired by the Devonshire vineyard of the same name – talk about charming!
