'The Cottage' is a sensitively restored Grade II-listed house, just a stone's throw from the historic Charlestown quay in Cornwall. Forming part of a collection of high-end holiday cottages known as 'Antonia's Pearls', this home-from-home is ideal for family holidays to one of the UK's prettiest seaside destinations.
Set back from the bustle of Charlestown by its long path and stretch of lawn, this beautiful cottage is decorated to an exquisitely high standard. Inside, you'll find two bedrooms: a king-size room and a small double room, with a cabin bed perfect for children.
The slate floored kitchen has all the mod-cons you would expect from a cottage of this calibre, complete with a Belfast sink, a ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, wi-fi and landline phone. There's also a washing machine – ideal for holidays with adventurous kids in tow – tumble dryer, overhead airer and ironing board in the old laundry (the largest of the three outbuildings). The log store and the original loo – which is in working order – are also close to hand.
In the oak-floored living room, a plush sofa and two armchairs are cosily arranged around the wood burner. Pop some tunes on the digital radio or kick back with a good read as you're warmed by the glow of the fire. Elsewhere, the bathroom offers a cast iron bath coupled with a powerful overhead shower and the softest towels around. Catch the sunrise with an al fresco breakfast in the courtyard, or enjoy sundown in the garden with a home-cooked or bought-in dinner.
