Cliff Road, Burton Bradstock, Dorset DT6 4RB
Beachfront Location, Classic Cocktails, Al Fresco Terrace
The Seaside Boarding House is nestled on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, overlooking Chesil Beach in Dorset. Its enviable seaside location and laidback vibe make it the perfect antidote to city life, especially as getting here takes less than three hours from London or the Midlands.
This unique Dorset retreat is inspired by a mixture of classic British Edwardian hotels and the Cape Cod paintings of Edward Hopper. Decor is a unique blend of old and new, combining lovingly renovated furniture and fittings from the 1920s to 1980s, along with marine salvage and nautical paintings.
Each of The Seaside Boarding House's nine bedrooms is within sight and sound of the sea. Some bathrooms feature large claw-footed baths, while beds and mattresses are handmade in Devon using 100% natural and organic materials. Since the aim of the game is relaxation, you'll find no televisions in the bedrooms (though you can request them). Instead, you're free to listen to the radio or get stuck into a good book from their large collection.
