The Gin School at Salcombe Distilling Co is the ultimate experience for gin enthusiasts. At their stylish distillery, you'll be able to create your very own bottle of gin under the expert guidance of their distilling team.
Your day will start with a complimentary Salcombe G&T (obviously) before a tour of Salcombe Distilling Co's impressive waterside distillery on Island Street. The Gin School is run by the distillers themselves, who will begin by explaining how they make their own award-winning gins.
At the school, you're greeted by a mini copper pot still and an array of botanicals to chose from to create your own recipe – you can also bring your own if you have a special ingredient or two in mind! The distillery team will be on-hand to guide you through the process and offer a few tips on recipe tweaks and all the important cuts to create a smooth and well-balanced Gin.
Sessions are bookable as a 'School for 1', where you'll take charge of your own still and recipe, or a 'School for 2 to share'. Each still produces enough for a 70cl bottle that you can name and personalise, and enough for an extra measure to take to the distillery bar where the team there can advise on the best tonics and garnishes to pair with.
