Highlights
Impeccable knowledge of produce, Warm welcome
Paul Ainsworth at No6 is one of the centrepieces of Padstow’s thriving gastronomy scene. The Michelin Star restaurant sits on a quiet street in the heart of the fishing port; a crisp, white, 18th century building with cosy warmth radiating out its shuttered windows. They serve modern British food; beautifully presented contemporary dishes like wild turbot with persillade and Padstow crab stick, or fillet of beef with carrot over embers and bacon béarnaise. Dishes don’t shy away from using exciting flavour combinations or inventive presentation, and tend to make use of excellent Cornish produce. This is epitomised in their signature pudding the Fairground Tale, a circus carousel of luxury sharing desserts making for a truly exciting dining experience. Staff are knowledgeable and warm, and will help with wine pairings from their extensive list
Maverick Tip
