Morgans is a relatively new addition to Cornwall’s contemporary art scene, set over five storeys at the vibrant heart of Falmouth. This gallery and studio space was started by a family with years of combined industry experience, along with a deep-rooted passion for Cornwall.
Owners Ann and Tony Morgan established the space with their three creative daughters – Martha, Ella and Clara – back in November 2019. Since they purchased the building, it has been extensively redesigned and renovated with the aid of local craftspeople and transformed into a truly beautiful and creative space. The gallery will play host to a rotation of exhibitions, showcasing work by young and emerging talent, alongside well-established names. Meanwhile, the three storeys above the gallery are dedicated studio spaces for practising artists.
You can expect a break from tradition with the work showcased at Morgans. A typical exhibition blends together painters, ceramicists and makers, with a particular emphasis on work by young female artists, the likes of which include rising stars Julia Florence and Martha Homes.
