For a fairy-tale weekend, it doesn’t get much more magical than Midsummer Meadow Bed at Southcombe Barn. Set within an idyllic meadow, this beautiful, hand-carved four-poster bed is entirely exposed to the elements; you’ll hear the sounds of woodland creatures around you, feel the chill of the night, and wake with the morning dew and birdsong. There’s a canopy above the bed which can be left in place or pulled back to reveal the stars of the Dartmoor Dark Sky Reserve as you drift off, and the magic doesn’t end there…
A bountiful breakfast is delivered to your open-air bed in a hamper, and each stay includes a half-hour complimentary gong bath to help you drift off even further. There's also a hammock for afternoon naps, a lovely private bathroom up by the barn and a pretty bell tent with daybed.
