Just when we thought Padstow couldn't improve on its culinary credentials, Paul Ainsworth introduced Mahé; his immersive chef’s table experience and development kitchen.
Mahé Chef's Table
With a menu of beautiful Cornish produce and a ringside seat to the creative process, Mahé is the ultimate foodie night out or add-on to your No. 6 experience. Sitting just centimetres away from the development kitchen team, you'll benefit from a front row seat to all the kitchen action. Watch on as the team prepare a tasting menu for up to 10 people, featuring knock-out dishes like Sea Bass Sashimi, Cornish Hogget Ragu and Kelp Cured Cod with Seaweed Quaver. The bespoke tasting menu is priced at £155 per person and changes with the seasons to celebrate the stunning produce grown, made, caught and farmed just miles from Mahé’s door.
As part of the experience, you're free to interact with the kitchen throughout every step of the cooking process, or you can slip out onto the private terrace with a cocktail between courses. The sommeliers at Paul Ainsworth at No. 6 will personally select wines from their Padstow cellar and has created an exclusive wine flight to enhance all of Mahé’s dishes. A celebratory glass of champagne will await you on arrival and a sommelier will be on hand to guide you through the wine list or help you select something special to elevate your meal.
Mahé Development Kitchen
Mahe is the development kitchen for Ainsworth’s restaurants, where Development Chef Josh Green and his team, including Chef de Partie Rosie Nevill, explore new combinations of flavour and technique to create the dishes served at the Ainsworth Collection. The Chef’s Table offers guests the chance to see Josh’s craftsmanship and passion for cookery in action.
