Just when we thought Padstow couldn't improve on its culinary credentials, Paul Ainsworth introduced Mahé; his immersive cookery school and chef’s table experience.
Mahé Chef's Table
With a menu of beautiful Cornish produce and a ringside seat to the creative process, Mahé is the ultimate foodie night out or add-on to your No. 6 experience. Sitting just centimetres away from Head Chef John Walton and his team, you'll benefit from a front row seat to all the kitchen action. Watch on as the team prepare a seven-course tasting menu, featuring knock-out dishes like Sea Bass Sashimi, Cornish Hogget Ragu and Kelp Cured Cod with Seaweed Quaver. John’s bespoke tasting menu is priced at £125 per person and changes with the seasons to celebrate the stunning produce grown, made, caught and farmed just miles from Mahé’s door.
As part of the experience, you're free to interact with the kitchen throughout every step of the cooking process, or you can slip out onto the private terrace with a cocktail between courses. Elly Owen, sommelier at Paul Ainsworth at No. 6, will personally select wines from their Padstow cellar and has created an exclusive wine flight to enhance all of Mahé’s dishes. A celebratory glass of champagne will await you on arrival and Elly will be on hand to guide you through the wine list or help you select something special to elevate your meal.
