Things to do nearby

With its boutique shops, charming pubs, famous restaurants and working harbour, there are few destinations that are as quintessentially Cornish as Port Isaac. The village is best known as the location for the TV series Doc Martin (where you can spot Jasmine Cottage in the opening credits) but it has also been making waves in the Cornish food scene for the past few years. Guests can experience dining at its finest at Nathan Outlaw's New Road restaurant or enjoy a more informal seafood experience at Outlaw's Fish Kitchen.

The South West Coast Path is accessible from the village. Walk north to Port Gaverne or follow the path south to Port Quin. Port Isaac is within easy driving distance of Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Trebarwith Strand and Tintagel.
