Perched high above rugged smugglers’ coves and located smack bang on the South West Coast Path, Gara Rock is arguably located in one of the most stunning spots in all of England. By day, Gara Rock restaurant serves a bistro-style menu of locally sourced dishes, from simple crab rolls to gourmet burgers. There’s also a relaxed lounge bar that offers a wide selection of cocktails, homemade cordials, great vintages and local spirits. On an evening, the restaurant kicks up a notch, so make sure you make a reservation ahead of time. Alternatively, guests can dine at The Ox Grill (Gara Rock’s answer to al fresco dining). Sit on the landscaped terrace as chefs whip up tantalising dishes over glowing embers. Mixing land, sea and allotment, there are plenty of tempting dishes to try while you breathe in the fresh coastal air.
