Spa, Award-winning Restaurant, Beautiful Gardens
This townhouse hotel boasts 26 individually styled rooms, a self-catering cottage, an award-winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant and a bijou spa & wellness space. Originally designed as a Georgian gentleman’s residence, you’ll find that The Eastbury’s interiors are imbued with immense warmth and character. Rooms have oodles of charm and are suitable for all members of the family, including your four-legged companions. For added privacy, The Victorian Garden Potting Shed Suites benefit from their own private terraces, tucked away within the quintessentially English walled garden.
The Eastbury’s green-roofed spa looks more like something you’d see in The Lord of the Rings than a busy market town. Inside, two serene treatment rooms await you along with a hydrotherapy tub, a sauna, a jacuzzi shower, and a mini gym. Choose from a menu of therapeutic treatments including soothing facials and invigorating massages. Or unwind in the outdoor hot tub, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the beautiful gardens.
The Eastbury’s award-winning restaurant, Seasons, serves tempting modern European dishes that utilise the freshest and finest local ingredients. Dinner guests can relax in a wonderfully intimate yet informal setting, against the stunning backdrop of the hotel gardens. As its name suggests, the menu at Seasons is always evolving and there’s an impressive wine list on offer, curated from the de Savary family’s own private collection.
Maverick tip: Ask for a copy of the hotel’s walking guide or take a short stroll to one of Sherborne’s two castles – one in ruins and one a stately house built by Sir Walter Raleigh.
