Barnaby's Bistro is a cosy, relaxed restaurant situated in the heart of Padstow in a former Victorian tearoom. It's just up the road from their sister restaurant Prawn On The Lawn and is another proud creation of Katie and Rick Toogood.
The restaurant is named after Rick’s grandfather, George Barnaby. He and his family were all from Manchester – hence the bee theme, as this symbol has been synonymous with the city since the industrial revolution.
Barnaby's menu is built around sharing and they serve local seafood, meat and vegetarian options using lots of bold and unique flavours. They change their menus continuously so that dishes reflect the seasons, and they work closely with local suppliers to source ingredients from as near to Padstow as possible. The restaurant also donates money from each bill to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
