Relaxed Fine Dining, Contemporary Interiors, Historic Barbican Location
Housed in the world-famous Plymouth Gin distillery, Barbican Kitchen was established in 2006 by renowned restaurateurs and TV chefs James and Chris Tanner. The menu is designed to take full advantage of the West Country’s larder, offering dishes crafted with fresh fish, seasonal vegetables and quality local meats sourced from a trusted network of suppliers.
The Barbican Kitchen boasts a casual atmosphere in a contemporary space. Large glass doors slide open to reveal the restaurant, where colourful artwork adorns its white walls and guests can spy the busy kitchen pass from their tables. Diners should expect a relaxed fine dining affair with plenty of hearty portions at an affordable price. There's a fabulous lunchtime set-menu, as well as vegan and veggie options year-round.
Lunches offer outstanding value for the whole family (children under 5 eat for free!) while an evening sitting at the restaurant proves to be an ideal setting for a relaxed date night.
