1 The Coach House is a supremely cool duplex apartment located a five-minute walk from Porthminster Beach on the main road into St Ives. The open-plan kitchen and living room on the first floor is filled with natural light, both from Velux windows in the vaulted ceiling and a set of trifold doors offering picturesque sea views. On chilly days, you can cuddle up with the family or your four-legged friend on the couch in front of a gas fire with Netflix on the Smart TV.
The apartment features two bedrooms on the ground floor – a double with its own TV and DVD player and a super king that can be split into two single beds with doors leading to a sun-drenched terrace (which can also be accessed via steps from the dining room) that’s ideal for al fresco dining or simply soaking up the rays with a drink in hand. Between these two rooms is a shower room. A third bedroom on the first floor features a king-size bed with an ensuite with shower over bath and underfloor heating.
Being so close to the beach, the apartment has a hosepipe outside for blasting off sand before going inside, and there are also two parking spots. 1 The Coach House is a stone’s throw from the South West Coast Path, which you can use to walk to Porthminster Beach in one direction and Carbis Bay in the other. The walk into St Ives takes around 5 to 10 minutes, or there’s a bus stop near the apartment that goes into the town centre.
